Ansu fati makes decisions about his future at Barcelona

Ansu Fati, the young FC Barcelona forward, has experienced a series of injuries that have significantly impacted his playing time and development over the past few years.

Injury Timeline:

 • July 2024: Fati sustained a foot injury during pre-season training, sidelining him for approximately 55 days.

 • September 2024: After recovering, he returned to the squad and was included in Barcelona’s UEFA Champions League match against AS Monaco.

 • November 2024: Fati suffered a right hamstring injury during a training session, leading to an expected absence of about four weeks.

 • December 2024: He was declared fully fit and available for selection by manager Hansi Flick.

Performance and Playing Time:

Throughout 2024, Fati’s contributions on the field were limited. During his loan spell at Brighton & Hove Albion, he made 14 appearances without scoring. Upon returning to Barcelona, he played only 158 minutes across La Liga and Champions League matches, failing to register any goals or assists.

Future at Barcelona:

As of early 2025, Fati’s future with Barcelona appears uncertain. Coach Hansi Flick has omitted him from recent matchday squads, favoring other players. Flick has communicated openly with Fati about his situation, indicating that the decision to stay or seek opportunities elsewhere lies with the player.

In summary, Ansu Fati’s career has been hampered by recurring injuries, leading to reduced playing time and impacting his form. His future at FC Barcelona remains uncertain as he seeks to regain fitness and consistent performance levels.
