Enzo Maresca has singled out one special Chelsea star following his superb display against the Bees on Sunday evening.
The Blues edged past Brentford with a 2-1 goal thriller and while praising Cucurella's impact on the game, Enzo Maresca also revealed Robert Sanchez was crucial to the Blues' win. Sanchez was brilliant in goal for the Blues and made three crucial saves during the game. Enzo Maresca praised the performance of the goalkeeper:
"If you remember, Bournemouth away, the penalty, against Aston Villa one-v-one against [Ollie] Watkins and Nottingham Forest at the end of the game, the save. Tonight, the save. We are happy with Robert, sometimes when we say things, you struggle to believe.
"But Robert is doing fantastic, Filip [Jorgensen] is doing exactly the same in the Conference League. This is what we want; two goalkeepers that can compete and help us win games." Enzo Maresca said per Football.london.
In 90 minutes on the pitch, Sanchez had a passing accuracy of 54% (19/35). He had a goal-prevention rate of 0.73 and registered two saves from inside the penalty box.
Sanchez has conceded 18 goals and kept three clean sheets in 15 Premier League games this season
